Vehicle wraps
A wrap is a large sheet of adhesive film applied over the painted panels of a vehicle. It changes the colour or carries printed artwork, and it covers the original paint for as long as it stays on. Auto Tint Castle Rock fits wraps alongside window film.
Wrap or repaint
The two solve a similar problem in very different ways, and the right answer depends on what you want from the vehicle afterwards.
A wrap is reversible. The factory paint stays underneath, which matters for resale and for anyone on a lease. It also makes finishes practical that paint struggles with, such as matte, satin, brushed metal and printed graphics.
Paint is permanent, and it is the better answer when the surface underneath is already damaged. Film needs sound paint to stick to. Rust, flaking clear coat and filler left proud of the panel all telegraph through a wrap rather than hiding beneath it.

Four things to settle first
Coverage
A full colour change, or a partial wrap covering specific panels. This is the single largest factor in both the time involved and the cost, so it is the first thing to be clear about.
The state of the paint
Film follows the surface it is laid on. Chips, scratches, previous repairs and lifting clear coat all affect whether a wrap will sit properly and how long it stays put. Worth an honest look before committing.
Finish and colour
Matte and satin behave differently from gloss in daylight and are cleaned differently afterwards. Printed graphics bring artwork and file requirements of their own.
Where it lives
Sustained sun is hard on any film, and Colorado supplies plenty of it. A vehicle parked outdoors every day is a different proposition from one kept in a garage.
